Goin' Upcountry

Toronto Interior Design Show Display! (aka. dream home.)

The subway doors chime as I am going home from work. I dream about all the fantasy trips I could be going to instead. ‘Anywhere but here’ mingling with thoughts of Goa, Dubai and Amsterdam. But what if I could go home to a world that reminded me of my fantasy travel adventures, where everything feels different and exciting every time. This is what entering Upcountry feels like.

Upcountry is new to Toronto, and they already have the city's attention. I saw the luxurious furniture store set up at the Toronto Interior Design Show, and I wanted to know where I could get everything. With their sparkling chandeliers, cow hide ottoman, smoking room-style curved sofa I felt like I was exploring the world in one store.

I was introduced to the owner, Todd, who more than willingly told me about the brilliant Timothy Olton, an English vintage furniture curator.Upcountry has only been in the city for 5 months, but their  famous Jack Union couch (keep scrolling) from Timothy has quite a waiting list. Their approachable staff is more than willing to help you make your choices. It's really is like travelling UpCountry but you stay DownHome.

So… to embark on our journey:

Boys, I may have a bit of baggage but you’ll pick me up anyways.
Next, to explore the horizon glittering with its many beautiful elements. So many choices, how’s a girl to choose…
Thanks Lisa and Scott at Upcountry for letting us drop by!

Much love and sunshine!

Free apple, yah?

A stranger unexpectedly offered me an apple. I politely declined, but it was pretty cool when he started doing tricks with the apple, like bouncing it on his elbow to his hands. What I did take was his photo.

Much sunshine,
